Adopt Sir Woś (b2)

Male

Sir Woś (b2) - a kitten living freely from Jagiellońska Street. My name is Sir Woś. I gave myself the noble title because while life throws me curveballs, at least I have dignity. I am a free-living cat, meaning I managed to survive on my own for a long time and was not accustomed to frequenting human company. I ended up at the animal shelter for treatment, and it turned out I have FIV and Felv. It sounds serious, and it is, which is why I now have my own mini apartment. However, before someone thinks I’m a candidate for a lap cat, I truthfully warn you, this is not the address. I am not socialized. I do not seek hands for petting, I do not dream of cuddling, and I definitely do not have a habit of approaching humans. On the contrary, I highly value personal space and believe that distance is the foundation of a healthy relationship. If someone tries to shorten it without an invitation, I will inform you that I do not give my consent, and there will be smoke! Does this mean I have nothing to offer? Of course, I do. I am a cat with character, independent, and very proud – a cat with class. I will teach you my rules (my own). I use a litter box, respect the rules of the house, and do not get in anyone's way. I am an ideal roommate for someone who understands that presence does not always mean physical contact. I do not know if I will get along with other cats because, due to my illnesses, I have no opportunity to check. I could therefore live as a singleton, or I might consider a home with other cats like me. I am looking for a very specific home. One that will not try to change me by force. Someone who will accept me as I am, a bit wild, a bit withdrawn, but in my own way, exceptional. In return, I promise one thing: I will be somewhere, in the shadows, but with class, after all, I have a noble title! ul. About Sir Woś (b2)

What life with Sir Woś (b2) looks like

Sir Woś (b2) is a adult cat waiting at Schronisko Kielce in Kielce.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sir Woś (b2), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sir Woś (b2)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sir Woś (b2) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sir Woś (b2) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sir Woś (b2) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sir Woś (b2) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sir Woś (b2) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
