During our Sardinian tour in March 2026, a visit to the LIDA Rifugios in Olbia was naturally on our plan, where we were already eagerly awaited. For there were, as always, several new arrivals that they wanted to introduce us to. Our first stop at the Rifugio was the quarantine area, where a dog family was staying that we were supposed to get to know. The mother had found a shelter with her five puppies. However, they did not want to keep the dog family there any longer. It was good that the mother was also secured and brought to the Rifugio with her puppies, as otherwise she would have given birth to her next litter of puppies in just a few months.

Während unserer Sardinientour im März 2026 stand natürlich auch der Besuch des Rifugios der LIDA in Olbia auf unserem Plan, wo wir schon sehnsüchtig erwartet wurden. Denn es gab – wie immer – etliche Neuzugänge, die man uns vorstellen wollte.Unser erster Weg im Rifugio ging dann zum Quarantäne-Bereich, wo es eine Hundefamilie gab, die wir kennenlernen sollten. Die Mama hatte mit ihren fünf Kindern einen Unterschlupf gefunden. Dort wollte man die Hundefamilie aber nicht länger behalten. Es war gut, dass auch die Mama gemeinsam mit ihren Kindern gesichert und ins Rifugio gebracht werden konnte, denn sie hätte sonst in wenigen Monaten schon wieder ihre nächsten Babys zur Welt gebracht.
