🐾 Meet Sirius 🐾 Age: 02/06/2024 Breed: mixed breed (size corgi) Gender: male dog Neutered: yes Description: Sirius was adopted via an organization from Ukraine. The adopters had him for 1.5 months but unfortunately he needed more experience so they decided to give him up. Sirius has been at the animal shelter in Ukraine since he was a pup. So real home life is new for him and will take (a lot) of time to fully adjust to. Behavior & Personality: Sirius is a rather uncertain dog that has unfortunately turned into aggression. We do notice however that with the right guidance he does pretty okay. He mainly needs the right structure. He showed mainly aggression towards strangers but also towards one of the owners. Towards us he hasn't shown any aggression from a distance. He can be alone for half a day but barks when he hears something. And he is crate trained. In terms of housetraining, it's not yet 100% and this also needs to be worked on further. What is Sirius looking for? A quiet home without children. An owner who is willing to give him all the time to adjust and is motivated to work on his issues. A meeting with a stable dog is possible. Medical: Sirius's front legs are deformed, this is likely like that since birth. He doesn't have any problems with it himself but care must be taken regarding the activities done with him. De adoptanten hebben hem 1,5maand gehad maar helaas had hij iets meer ervaring nodig waardoor ze de keuze maakte hem af te staan. Sirius verbleef in Oekraïne al vanaf hij een pup was is het asiel. Het echte huisleven is dus nieuwe voor hem en zal (veel) tijd vragen om hier volledig aan te wennen. Gedrag & Persoonlijkheid: Sirius is een vrij onzeker hondje wat zich helaas in agressie heeft omgezet. Hier merken we wel dat hij met de juiste begeleiding het best wel oke doet. Hij heeft vooral nood aan de juiste structuur. Hij vertoonde voornamelijk agressie naar onbekenden mensen maar ook naar een van de eigenaars. Naar ons toe heeft hij buiten bij de afstand zelf nog geen agressie getoond. Hij kan een halve dag vlot alleen blijven maar blaft wel wanneer hij iets hoort. En hij is een bench gewoon. Qua zindelijkheid is het nog niet 100% en hier moet dus ook aan verder gewerkt worden. Wat zoekt Sirius? Een rustige thuis zonder kinderen. Een baasje die hem alle tijd wil geven om te wennen en gemotiveerd is om aan zijn werkpunten te werken. Een kennismaking met een stabiele hond is mogelijk. Medisch: Sirius zijn voorste poten zijn misvormd, dit is vermoedleijk reeds vanaf de geboorte zo.
