Sisi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 6 months

For several years now, Sisi has been under our wings... learning the world... but still doesn't know what it's like to have a home... 💔💔💔 Sisi is about 6 years old and has been somewhere in between for a long time — she's already safe, surrounded by people who know her... yet she still waits... waiting for that one person. The one who will be only hers. 🥰🧡 She has met many people, seen many faces and places. She has learned to observe the world from a distance, a bit from the side — just like dogs who have lost faith in life 😔😔. Because Sisi is a nervous female dog. One who looks for a long time before approaching. She thinks. She looks for an answer in a person to the question: "Will I be safe this time?" New situations and strangers still cause her anxiety. That's why she needs someone special — someone who won't rush anything 🧡. Someone who will sit next to her and just be. 🧡 Without expectations. Without pressure. With a heart full of patience 🧡. Because life hasn't been easy for her. It has left marks that aren't visible at first glance — but can be felt in every cautious step, in every look full of uncertainty 😔😔💔 And yet... when Sisi starts to trust, something extraordinary happens 🥰. Slowly, very slowly, she shortens the distance. She approaches closer. Her gaze softens. Then comes that moment — quiet, delicate — when she snuggles into a person, as if checking whether it's really true. Whether this time she can let go of her fear.😍😍😍 She loves walks, quiet moments and closeness that demands nothing from her. At the temporary home Hotel for Dogs Psiemanko she already feels safe. She knows Aunt Magda Dochniak, she trusts, she can breathe... But we know she must find her real home, which is somewhere out there.. and that someone who will give her more — true love and a sense of security 🥰🥰🥰. A home forever. One where she will no longer be "for a while". Adoption of Sisi is not a quick story. It's a process. It's a path of building trust step by step. It's a choice of the heart and patience. But if someone loves her... they will get something extraordinary - faithful love Sisi 🧡🧡. And although we know that Sisi's love isn't easy, it isn't immediate, we also know that it's worth giving her a chance. Because when she gives her heart and love — it will be deep and absolutely true 🥰🥰🥰 If you are ready for an extraordinary adoption, for Sisi..

To proces. To droga budowania zaufania krok po kroku. To wybór serca i cierpliwości.

About Sisi

What life with Sisi looks like

Sisi is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sisi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sisi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sisi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sisi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sisi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sisi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sisi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
