Siver was rescued after weeks of straying, alone and abandoned, in a village. His story is a mystery, though given his breed, we can easily imagine he is a hunting reject. No one claimed him and he was not identified. Siver arrived at Cuencanimal in the autumn of 2022. Since then, this handsome podenco has evolved well, working through his fear and initial rejection of the leash. This process, which required time and patience, delayed his availability for adoption. Siver recently returned to the shelter after ten months in a foster home, where he recovered from a leg fracture. He is now ready to find his permanent family, a family committed to giving him what he needs to continue evolving. Siver is a magnificent, wonderful, affectionate, obedient podenco with a good temperament. At home, he is the epitome of calm: he loves long naps in his cushion or basking in the sun in the garden, where he feels at ease. He sometimes barks when someone passes by the other dogs in the foster home. His progress on walks is remarkable. At first, his fear was so great that he had to be carried to a quieter spot, and he only walked if he knew he was returning to safety at home. Through slow, gentle work without forcing him, he learned to appreciate walks. Though he may still have occasional blocks, with a bit of time and patience, he understands there is no danger. He is always taken out in quiet areas and is always accompanied by Ujol, another Cuencanimal dog housed in the same home, who served as a great support and role model. Outside, for added security, a double leash is used, with one end tied around his waist. Siver is a charming and very social podenco with other dogs. He cohabits without any problems with males and females, always showing a friendly attitude. He is an exceptional dog! With people he trusts, Siver is extremely affectionate and cuddly. His relationship with less familiar people has evolved, and we are moved to see his progress. Adoption fee: 315 euros Contact: - VALERA is under contract with the association GALGOS FRANCE. Siver a été sauvé, après des semaines d'errance, seul et abandonné, dans un village. Ce processus, qui a nécessité du temps et de la patience, a retardé sa diffusion en vue de son adoption. Siver est récemment revenu au refuge après dix mois dans une famille d'accueil, où il s'est remis d'une fracture de la patte. Il est maintenant prêt à trouver sa famille définitive, une famille engagée qui saura lui offrir ce dont il a besoin pour continuer à évoluer. Siver est un podenco magnifique, merveilleux, affectueux, obéissant et avec un bon caractère. À la maison, il est la tranquillité personnifiée : il aime faire de longues siestes dans son coussin ou prendre le soleil dans le jardin, où il se sent à l'aise. Il aboie parfois lorsque quelqu'un passe à côté des autres chiennes de la famille d’accueil. Ses progrès en promenade sont remarquables. Au début, sa peur était telle qu'il fallait le porter dans les bras vers un endroit plus calme et il ne marchait que s'il savait qu'il retournait en sécurité à la maison. Grâce à un travail lent et sans le forcer, il a appris à apprécier les promenades. Bien qu’il puisse encore avoir de rares blocages, avec un peu de temps et de patience, il comprend qu'il n'y a pas de danger. Il est toujours sorti dans des zones calmes et toujours accompagné d'Ujol, un autre chien de Cuencanimal hébergé dans la même maison, et qui a servi de grand soutien et de modèle. A l’exterieur, pour plus de sécurité, il faut utiliser une double laisse, dont l'une est nouée autour de la taille. Siver est un podenco charmant et très sociable avec les autres chiens. Il cohabite sans aucun problème avec les mâles et les femelles, montrant toujours une attitude amicale. C'est un chien exceptionnel ! Avec les gens en qui il a confiance, Siver est extrêmement câlin et affectueux. Sa relation avec des personnes moins connues a évolué et nous sommes émus de voir ses progrès.
