Adopt Skittle

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Skittle here! Its finally my turn to find my forever home, both my brothers have been reserved so I NEED a home before they leave me. My personality: I am your typical kitten, I am very playful and love to get up to mischief! I can also be very independent and will keep myself to myself, I am not as crazy as my brothers. My ideal home: I would love a home with another kitten or cat to play with, I could also be introduced to a dog/puppy with slow introductions of course. Id like to have a family who have lots of time to spend with me, I love attention but I can be independent to. Id be happy sharing my home with children, as long as they know when to give me my space. Access to outdoors: I would love access to outdoors once I have settled in of course, but I could be just as happy being an indoor cat. Toileting: I am litter trained, I will use either grit or wood chip litter. Did you know: Kittens are born with blue eyes, but their eye colour may change as they grow older. My adoption fee is £175

About Skittle

What life with Skittle looks like

Skittle is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Skittle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Skittle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Skittle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Skittle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Skittle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Skittle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Skittle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
