Skyeon’s story could easily have ended before it truly began. He was found wandering along a busy boulevard where he narrowly avoided being hit by passing traffic. It is believed that he had been abandoned there, left to fend for himself in an environment that was both unfamiliar and extremely dangerous. After being rescued, he was taken to the local public shelter where he received the care he needed before being returned to the area where he had originally been found. Fortunately, Skyeon recognised the person who had rescued him and simply decided that he was not going to be left behind again. He followed her all the way to her workplace and refused to leave her side. She has cared for him ever since, but with many other rescue animals already depending on her, she knows that what Skyeon truly deserves is a permanent family of his own. Skyeon is an affectionate, people orientated young dog who genuinely enjoys human company. He loves being involved in whatever is happening and is happiest when he feels included. Whether it is going for a walk, playing with his favourite toy, accompanying his family on an outing, or simply relaxing beside them at home, he likes being part of everyday life. He is also a very intelligent dog who learns quickly and responds extremely well to positive reinforcement. His eagerness to interact with people, combined with his food motivation and natural curiosity, make him an excellent candidate for continued training. He already walks beautifully on a lead, travels calmly in the car, and enjoys watching the world pass by through the window during journeys. As a young dog, Skyeon still has the typical energy and enthusiasm expected for his age. He enjoys play sessions, exploring new places, and spending time with other dogs. Regular exercise combined with mental stimulation through training, enrichment toys, and interactive games will help him continue developing into a well balanced adult. Skyeon is very social with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. He approaches canine interactions confidently and has a friendly, playful manner that makes him an enjoyable companion for other sociable dogs. Although he has not been formally tested with cats, he currently lives around them without showing inappropriate interest, suggesting that, with sensible introductions, he may be able to share a home with feline companions. He has not been formally assessed with children, but he has shown a clear interest in them and appears eager to play. As with any young dog, introductions should always be supervised while everyone learns to interact appropriately with one another. At around 16 kilograms, Skyeon is a comfortable medium size that suits many different lifestyles. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, regularly treated against parasites, and ready to begin life with his forever family. What makes Skyeon particularly special is his resilience. Despite being abandoned and finding himself alone in a dangerous environment, he has never lost his trust in people. Instead of becoming fearful or withdrawn, he has remained affectionate, optimistic, and eager to build relationships with everyone he meets. Skyeon would thrive with adopters who enjoy an active lifestyle and want a dog that is truly involved in daily life. He is clever enough to enjoy training, sociable enough to fit comfortably into family routines, and affectionate enough to become a constant companion. All he needs now is the one thing he has never truly had: a permanent home where he will never again have to wonder whether someone is coming back for him.
