Adopt Skyla - EKH

European Shorthair · Female · Adult · 8 years

Born: circa 2018 in the animal shelter since: 20.04.2026 female, neutered Skyla came in as a found animal at the end of April. Upon arrival, she had many fleas and ticks but was otherwise in good general condition. After vaccination, parasite treatment, and neutering, she moved into the cat house. Skyla is likely a bit older already, as she has no teeth left. She is a very calm cat and still has some fear of people. With patience, she will let you pet her, and she will surely gain trust over time. She gets along well with other cats and seeks their company. For Skyla, we wish for a home with a secure outdoor access with loving people who can give her time and space to settle in. A confident first-time cat owner could help her warm up faster. About Skyla - EKH

What life with Skyla - EKH looks like

Skyla - EKH is a adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn in Dingolfing.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Skyla - EKH, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Skyla - EKH?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Skyla - EKH on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Skyla - EKH if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Skyla - EKH already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Skyla - EKH isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Dingolfing-Landau e.V. / Tierheim Quellenhof Passbrunn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Skyla - EKH and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
