adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Snoopie has found her people! Her story: Who will fall in love with the little Snoopie? Snoopie, Stewart, Salsa, Motte, and Knuffelwuff, 5 puppy siblings, were found together with their mother Rosita by our helpers at a local farm. All 6 were brought to safety, and the 5 puppies are in a foster home with a friend and his wife. There they are thriving. Snoopie, with her wonderful black-and-white fur pattern and gray eyes, is now waiting to find her family from there. Snoopie is likely to grow to medium to large size. Her mother is 55 cm tall and weighs 25 kg. Since we cannot say which breeds were mixed in with the sweet little mouse, it cannot be ruled out that she may have some herding dog traits. The future family should be prepared and informed about this. Snoopie is looking for people who won't expect much from her and will show her how a normal dog life works. She is still a baby and has a lot to learn. A little mishap shouldn't be held against her, and Snoopie should always be guided with a positive and reinforcing training style. She is already looking forward to her new life with beautiful nature walks, lots of snuggling time, and also a visit to puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos will turn the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" often what they have learned and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to be consistent— but lovingly—trained. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Have your interest been piqued? Then don't wait. Snoopie is eagerly waiting and should not spend the rest of her life in the shelter. Once Snoopie has all her vaccinations, she can travel. Then she will be fully vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. She will also bring her EU pet passport. For a spaying, she is of course still too young. For an adoption fee of 500 Euro, Snoopie can be adopted. She would also be happy to stay in a foster home. Thank you Elke K.! You have given Snoopie a name and identity through your namingsponsorship, and thus given her the start of her new life. As of: 26.06.

Stand: 26.06.2024

About Snoopie

What life with Snoopie looks like

Snoopie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoopie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoopie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoopie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoopie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snoopie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoopie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoopie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
