Pepsi von den PPPPicos

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

Pepsi from the PPPPicos Pepsi, ♂, * born around May 1, 2016, has been with his foster family in Bexbach since September 5, 2016. Like all his siblings, Pepsi is still very reserved towards us two-legged beings. This might be due to the bad experiences they had in their first weeks of life. However, he gets along wonderfully with his four-legged colleague Arlie and his big brother Aaron, which is why we think he would feel very comfortable as a confident "only dog." October 4, 2016: New photos of the shy deer. January 17, 2018: The foster mom reports: Pepsi is a beautiful, almost two-year-old male dog from Madeira. At his foster family, he lives with two other male dogs and visibly feels very comfortable. Unfortunately, too comfortable with his fellow animals, so that he doesn't necessarily need people. This means he gets his cuddles and affection from his four-legged housemates, which is why it would be beneficial for him to be rehomed as a single dog to learn to fully trust humans. He does come when called and licks your hand out of gratitude, but then you can hardly touch him, or the moment is over for him. Despite this, he is the most obedient dog one could wish for. Pepsi listens to every command! Who will give him a chance to overcome his fears of people? January 31, 2021: The foster family reports: Pepsi has now been living in his foster home for over 4 years. We hope that 2021 will be his year and that he will finally find a home. He is a handsome, well-groomed, neutered male dog from Madeira who lives with two other male dogs at his foster family (he knows children from the age of 1 year) and feels very comfortable and prefers the company of fellow animals to that of people. However, this does not mean that he doesn't know the basic commands. He is well-mannered and comes when his foster mom calls him, but cuddles and affection are not his thing.

What life with Pepsi von den PPPPicos looks like

Pepsi von den PPPPicos is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Vamos lá Madeira e.V. in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pepsi von den PPPPicos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pepsi von den PPPPicos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vamos lá Madeira e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pepsi von den PPPPicos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pepsi von den PPPPicos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vamos lá Madeira e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pepsi von den PPPPicos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pepsi von den PPPPicos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vamos lá Madeira e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pepsi von den PPPPicos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
