Contact can be delicate at first, but once reassured, he greatly enjoys cuddles, especially indoors where he is much more comfortable. Very food-motivated, food is a good way to build a bond with him. Outdoors or in his crate, he can be more stressed and bark. He communicates a lot through calming signals when he is uncomfortable: his future adopters will need to recognize them and respect his pace. Handling, especially at the veterinarian, needs to be done gently. Playful, Snoopy enjoys moments of companionship with a ball or a rope. Relationships with other dogs will need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis; he has previously lived with a female dog with whom everything went well. Snoopy also has skin issues and must follow a diet of hypoallergenic dry kibble. Outside the shelter, he is much more relaxed and confident. He is looking for a patient and caring family, ready to offer him a reassuring environment so he can thrive fully.
