Snow

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

02.05.2024 Apacz (so that's his name) returned to his home. He is a resident of Milanówka. Short ears, a fuzzy coat, and a Hollywood smile. Here is Snow, or rather "snow ball," who found himself in an animal shelter in the middle of winter. How did such an unusual dog end up running alone on the streets? Although it's not visible in the photos, Snow is a very neglected dog. His fur is one big, matted mess. His tail is completely bald, and he has a grape-sized lump on his paw 😞 He will need a vet to assess his health. Unfortunately, the conditions of the shelters don't allow for grooming the matted fur. Snow must stay outside, and it's winter. In the first step, we cut out the biggest tangles to gradually improve his comfort. Snow is very patient and tolerates these procedures well, and he behaves politely. He's a beloved teddy bear 🐻 Keep your fingers crossed for Snow to recover quickly and find a loving home.

05.02.2024 Apacz ( bo takie jest jego imię) wrócił do domu. Jest mieszkańcem Milanówka. Krótkie uszy, kula futra i hollywoodzki uśmiech.

About Snow

What life with Snow looks like

Snow is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snow, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snow?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snow on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snow if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snow already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snow isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snow and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
