Adopt Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem

Husky · Male · Young · 3 years

Husky puppy Snow (* February 2020) was given to us in January 2021 because his previous owners were overwhelmed with him. Typical for his breed, he is very active, but unfortunately, due to orthopedic problems, Snow cannot be used for sporting activities. However, he is always up for longer walks. Due to his orthopedic issues, we have taken him into our Nori project and will continue to provide him with veterinary care here. We are currently working intensively on Snow's leash behavior, and he has already made beautiful progress. Snow shows a lot of independence and is somehow in his "own movie." Additionally, at first, he does not want to be touched, which should be considered for building trust. Due to his hunting instinct, there should be no cats or small pets in his new home. For Snow, we are looking for people who can accommodate the "young wild one with a handicap" according to his needs and take him as he is—sometimes a little "grunter" but still lovable and simply something special.

About Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem

What life with Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem looks like

Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem is a medium-sized young adult husky dog waiting at Tierheim Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Düsseldorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Düsseldorf will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Düsseldorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snow - schöner Husky aus unserem and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
