Snowy

Male · Young · 2 years

Snowy is a bundle of fun and everyone who meets him can't help but fall in love! He needs a terrier savvy home who can meet all his needs and keep him entertained and content, whilst he becomes your best friend and makes you laugh hourly! Snowy travels well in the car, loves playing with other dogs but needs to be the only dog in the home, doesn't like being left home alone or loud, sudden noises, so if you think you meet this criteria and can give this handsome chap what he needs, then please expres your interest via an application today! Snowy is a hadsome 2 year old terrier looking for an active, terrier savvy home to call his own. Snowy would like to have dog friends out and about but would need to be the only dog in his new home as he can be a lot for other dogs to live with. Snowy loves everyone that he meets, but show him a squeaky toy and you've lost him to his love of them! Snowy can be senisitive of loud, sudden noises, like sneezing for example, so a calmer, quieter home would be best suited to him. Snowy is an active dog and would love to keep busy with lots of adventures, sniffy and play time but he also does not enjoy being left home alone as this is completley new to him, so his new owners would need to take this into consideration, be at home a lot and be willing to work with him on this.

About Snowy

What life with Snowy looks like

Snowy is a young adult dog waiting at Dogs Trust Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snowy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snowy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Bridgend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snowy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snowy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Bridgend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snowy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snowy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Bridgend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snowy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
