Socks is a 1.5-year-old female Border Collie. She spent her first year on a farm where both her parents worked with sheep. However, Socks proved only marginally suitable for this task - she has a very gentle, sensitive and rather shy nature. She is an absolute dream dog for people looking for a loyal companion. Socks loves to cuddle, builds a close bond with her human and wants to do everything right. She drives easily in the car, can be left alone after an adjustment period and is extremely quiet and relaxed in the house. Too many environmental stimuli currently still unsettle her and cause stress. Therefore, we are looking for a home for Socks in a rural, quiet environment. She is reliable on walks and currently shows no hunting instinct. However, she tries to herd other dogs if given the space to do so. Whoever accompanies Socks through her uncertainties with patience and understanding and gives her a stable, loving home will be rewarded with an exceptionally loyal and gentle dog. Socks is spayed, fully vaccinated and has an EU passport. Socks ist eine 1,5-jährige Border Collie-Hündin. Ihr erstes Lebensjahr verbrachte sie auf einem Bauernhof, wo beide Elterntiere mit Schafen gearbeitet haben. Für diese Aufgabe zeigte sich Socks jedoch nur bedingt geeignet – sie hat ein sehr sanftes, sensibles und eher schüchternes Wesen. Dafür ist sie ein absoluter Traumhund für Menschen, die einen treuen Begleiter suchen. Socks liebt es zu kuscheln, baut eine enge Bindung zu ihrem Menschen auf und möchte einfach alles richtig machen. Sie fährt problemlos im Auto mit, kann nach einer Eingewöhnungszeit auch einmal alleine bleiben und ist im Haus ausgesprochen ruhig und entspannt. Zu viele Umweltreize verunsichern sie derzeit noch und verursachen Stress. Deshalb suchen wir für Socks ein Zuhause in einer ländlichen, ruhigen Umgebung. Beim Spaziergang ist sie zuverlässig abrufbar und zeigt derzeit keinen Jagdtrieb. Andere Hunde versucht sie allerdings zu hüten, wenn man ihr den Raum dafür lässt. Wer Socks mit Geduld und Verständnis durch ihre Unsicherheiten begleitet und ihr ein stabiles, liebevolles Zuhause schenkt, wird mit einer außergewöhnlich loyalen und sanften Hündin belohnt.
