Sofia, a black and lovely cat, is still staying in her first home due to health challenges. First, we are treating an ongoing ear infection, possibly caused by a food allergy. Next, Sofia will be taken to an eye specialist due to suspicion of melanoma in both eyes. Sofia was rescued from the Punkalaitumen population in early 2023. This little tabby has returned to Kisu ry twice after adoption. The reason might be that Sofia does not get along with other pets, especially other cats. According to the latest information, Sofia is over 10 years old. She is clean indoors, playful, and eats varied. Sofia has only two teeth left, but she manages well with them. She is prone to weight gain. Her current weight is 4.2 kg, and the target weight is 3.7-3.8 kg. Sofia is still a bit shy, although she has become more confident at the cattery. Sofia is still not handleable or stroppable. Nevertheless, she is nice, even though she hisses when approached. On the other hand, Sofia comes courageously close to the staff and looks into their eyes. Sofia does not meow, but she talks for long periods with her very peculiar purring sound. Sofia usually wants to be in the same room as the staff and loves playing with a feather toy. At the moment, the most exciting entertainment is watching bird and mouse videos. Sofia also plays on her own, especially at night. Sofia needs a calm, stress-free home with one adult who does not have other pets and who has time, patience, and knowledge to systematically work on socializing Sofia. Sofia is being surrendered spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated. She is FIV/FeLV negative. The cat is not being surrendered to an outdoor lifestyle. Yön musta ihana Sofia elelee vielä toistaiseksi ensikodissa terveyshaasteiden vuoksi. Ensin hoidetaan meneillään oleva, mahdollisesti ruoka-aineallergiaperäinen, korvatulehdus. Seuraavaksi Sofia viedään silmäspesialistille molemmissa silmissä olevan melanoomaepäilyn vuoksi. Sofia on pelastettu alkuvuonna 2023 Punkalaitumen populaatiosta. Adoptiosta tämä pikkupantteri on palautunut takaisin Kisu ry:lle jo kahdesti. Syynä lienee ollut se, ettei Sofia ole tullut toimeen muiden lemmikkien, etenkään toisten kissojen, kanssa. Viimeisimmän tiedon mukaan Sofia on yli 10-vuotias. Hän on sisäsiisti, leikkisä ja syö monipuolisesti. Sofialla on vain kaksi hammasta jäljellä mutta niillä hän pärjää hyvin.
