Names: Sol (left) & Ra (right) Species: Degus Sex: Male Approx DOB : March 2024 Status : Available for adoption Sol & Ra are an amazing pair of degus who are looking for their forever home together. Both boys are very inquisitive and will happily climb onto your arms once they get to know you (and that you bring food!). Sol is the more confident of the pair and, for a degu, is actually quite good at being handled. After having settled in with us, both boys now come straight to the cage door when we enter the room and eagerly take food from hands. They love lots of platforms to bounce around on, their sand bath, and are partial to a dandelion root! Sol does over-groom Ra on his shoulders, but this doesn't cause him any issues. Minimum housing requirements: Liberta Explorer (or cages of the same size – 93cm w x 63cm l x 123cm h without stand). The boys are big chewers so do need a metal or thick perspex cage base.
