Sol ID No.: 1059058 Breed: Mixed Breed Age: approx. 05/2026 Gender: Male Shoulder Height: Still Growing Neutered/Spayed: No Location: Marbella (Spain) Application Form Little Sol is looking for his forever home. At the end of May 2026, Mama Nati arrived at our Spanish partner animal shelter TripleA in Marbella, heavily pregnant. Previously, she had been wandering alone in a small town nearby, completely on her own. Unfortunately, no one had notified the authorities in time, so our search and rescue team was only able to secure her just before the birth of her puppies. After only one night in the comfort of a quiet single room, Nati seemed to sense that she was finally safe. As early as the next morning, she gave birth to healthy and lively puppies—including the sweet little Sol. However, their happiness was soon put to a tough test: at the same time, parvovirus broke out at the shelter, and all dogs had to be evacuated immediately. Fortunately, an experienced foster home was quickly found for Nati and her puppies, where the little family has been lovingly cared for ever since. There, Sol can grow up safely together with his mom and siblings. From the very beginning, he has known care, security, and a loving environment—a great gift, because without his rescue, his puppyhood would certainly have been marked from the start by hunger, deprivation, and danger. Sol’s mom is a Podenco Andaluz female; the father is unknown. A Bodeguero could be possible, and we estimate that he will grow to medium size—though his exact ancestry remains a little secret. The sweet Sol is developing entirely typical for a puppy: he is playful, curious, open-minded, and full of joy for life. Every day, he discovers more and more about the world and delights in everything new he gets to experience. All that’s missing now is his own family—people who will accompany him on his further journey with patience, love, and understanding, teaching him step by step the basics of dog life. Since Sol is still a puppy, he can travel to his new home no earlier than the end of September. We are looking for people who may already have experience raising and training a puppy or young dog—or who are willing to immerse themselves deeply in the needs of a young dog. With loving, consistent training, Sol will grow into a loyal and affectionate companion. Has this sweet boy already won your heart? Then we’d be thrilled to hear from you! Sol travels to his new home vaccinated, microchipped, with an EU pet passport, and dewormed and flea-treated according to his age. Our puppies are placed exclusively with a mandatory neutering clause. About Sol

What life with Sol looks like

Sol is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sol, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sol?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sol on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sol if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sol already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sol isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sol and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
