animal shelter ASAP (Alhama Street Animal Protection): Update 25 april 2026: there are four new photos added. Update 11 april 2026: Sol is gaining more confidence. He walks well on the leash and loves cuddles. There are 4 new photos added. Input 26 maart 2026: Sol is one of the 9 puppies that Clara got on 25 januari 2026. Clara was found on 23 december 2025 by Sarah and Mike, somewhere near their campo house in Huétor-Tájar (a small village in the province of Granada). Because she was wandering around in the campo, it was also unclear where she came from. Sarah and Mike took her in hungry and scared and gave her good food and a warm bed. In januari, they took her to the vet and there their suspicion about her condition was confirmed. Clara was (highly) pregnant. There was no trace of the father, but he was probably also a podenco. On 25 januari, 9 pups were born: 7 males and 2 females. The females will go to Finland in may for adoption and Clara will remain living with Sarah and Mike. They all received their first vaccination on 9 maart, they will receive their second vaccination on 30 maart. The third vaccination, together with their passport, chip and rabies vaccination, is scheduled for 25 april. Then they would be allowed to travel abroad from 16 mei. They are not yet on a lead, because with so many pups it's quite chaotic and difficult. But they are growing up in a household with multiple dogs and cats, where everyone gets along well. They have not yet come into contact with children.

Update 11 april 2026: Sol krijgt steeds meer zelfvertrouwen. Hij loopt goed aan de riem en houdt enorm van knuffelen. Er zijn 4 nieuwe foto's toegevoegd. Input 26 maart 2026: Sol is 1 van de 9 puppy’s die Clara kreeg op 25 januari 2026. Clara werd op 23 december 2025 gevonden door Sarah en Mike, ergens in de buurt van hun campo huis in Huétor-Tájar (een dorpje in de provincie Granada). Omdat ze rondzwierf in de campo, was het ook onduidelijk waar ze vandaan kwam. Sarah en Mike namen haar uitgehongerd en bang in huis en gaven haar lekker eten en een warm bedje. In januari gingen ze met haar naar de dierenarts en daar werd hun vermoeden over haar toestand bevestigd. Clara was (hoog)zwanger. Van de papa was geen spoor, maar vermoedelijk was hij ook een podenco. Op 25 januari werden er 9 pups geboren: 7 reutjes en 2 teefjes. De teefjes gaan in mei naar Finland voor adoptie en Clara mag bij Sarah en Mike blijven wonen. Ze kregen allemaal hun eerste vaccinatie op 9 maart, op 30 maart krijgen ze hun tweede vaccinatie. De 3e vaccinatie, samen met hun paspoort, chip en rabiës vaccinatie staat gepland voor 25 april. Dan zouden ze mogen reizen naar het buitenland vanaf 16 mei. Ze lopen nog niet aan de lijn, omdat het met zo veel pups nogal chaotisch en lastig is. Maar ze groeien op in een huishouden met meerdere honden en katten, waar iedereen goed met elkaar overweg kan. Ze zijn nog niet in contact geweest met kinderen.
