Solenya

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Solenya is one of ten puppies born to Irma. The little female dog is about three months old and is expected to grow into a large breed. With her black coat and beautiful markings, she is a very special appearance. She looks very similar to her sisters Seylani and Maja - the three beautiful sisters must look closely to tell them apart. Her story began under particularly difficult circumstances. Irma was found emaciated, heavily pregnant and with her legs and snout tied together. Shortly after her rescue, she gave birth to twelve puppies. Unfortunately, two of the little siblings were not strong enough and died shortly after. But even for the ten surviving puppies, the start of life was not easy. Due to her severe malnutrition, Irma did not have enough milk to adequately care for her babies. Dorel therefore took over the care of the little ones and raised the puppies by hand. Every day he took care of their care and made sure they grew well despite their difficult start. Solenya has developed into an open and friendly little dog girl. She approaches people curiously and shows herself to be cheerful and carefree. She loves to be where her siblings are. Together they play, romp and dash through the kennel - after all, with nine siblings, there is always someone who is just in the mood for a little adventure. An important point that her future family should know: Irma, the mother of the puppies, has obvious features of a livestock guardian dog. Therefore, we cannot rule out that their puppies also carry the corresponding genes. In such a young dog, it is of course not yet possible to say reliably how strong these dispositions will later show. Livestock guardian dogs are often independent, attentive and territorial dogs that were originally bred to independently guard their herds. They can be more reserved towards strangers, attentively observe their home and family, and like to make decisions themselves. Lovers of this breed also appreciate their enormous loyalty. A consistent but loving upbringing and good socialization are particularly important. We are looking for people who enjoy accompanying a puppy as it grows up and are open to its individual development. She wants to discover the world, learn a lot, play and of course get a lot of love. At the same time, she needs people who give her security and orientation and patiently show her how life outside the shelter works. After her difficult start, we wish Solenya a life in which she can catch up on everything a young dog should experience: a home of her own, people who love her, exciting walks, shared adventures and of course a cozy bed in which she can fall asleep content after an exciting day. Solenya travels to her new home age-appropriately vaccinated, chipped, dewormed and dewormed with an EU pet passport. She will be placed for a deposit after a positive preliminary check. Many thanks to Gabi C.! You have given Solenya her name and thus an identity.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Gabi C.! Stand: 26.09.2026

About Solenya

What life with Solenya looks like

Solenya is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Solenya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Solenya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Solenya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Solenya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Solenya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Solenya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Solenya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
