Sonia

Female · Puppy · 6 months

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Sonia arrived with us recently from Romania. She has been doing very well in foster and is now ready for her forever home. This is what her foster mum had to say:Sonia is a beautiful little girl with a big personality and so much love to give. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, her confident and affectionate personality soon shines through. She sleeps very well in her crate overnight and greets you with a cuddle in the morning before heading into the garden to do what she needs to do.Sonia is playful and inquisitive and already has a favourite toy (a duck) that she loves to carry around while doing her zoomies. She has a wonderfully gentle nature and loves nothing more than cuddles and spending time with her favourite people. MY PERFECT HOME Sonia will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing minimum and no gaps at all. As with all puppies on going training will be needed. Sonia can live with dogs, cats with careful introduction and children 8+. OUR ADOPTION PROCESS 1 Fill in application form Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for. 2 We will arrange a home check If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home. 3 Matched with your dog Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary. 4 Ongoing Support We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainers and behaviourists too who can provide support. About Sonia

What life with Sonia looks like

Sonia is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sonia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sonia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sonia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sonia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sonia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sonia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sonia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
