Sony

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Male Β· Young Β· 1 year

πŸ’™ Warning: Sony is guaranteed to steal your heart! πŸ’™ Meet Sony, a handsome 1-year-old neutered male who may be a new arrival at RSPCA Bluebell Ridge, but he’s already become a firm favourite with the team! Sony came into our care from a large multi-animal household, but despite everything he’s been through, he hasn’t let it dampen his wonderful nature. This gorgeous boy is an absolute love bug. He adores a fuss and will happily roll around at your feet, asking for just one more stroke… and then another… and another! If you’re looking for a cat who loves human company, Sony could be your perfect match. Having enjoyed plenty of outdoor space in his previous home, Sony would love a home with safe outside access where he can explore, stretch his legs and enjoy the fresh air. Sony could live with older, sensible children aged 10 years and over. He would prefer a home without dogs, but could potentially live with another friendly, laid-back cat following careful introductions. Sony has so much love to give, and we don’t think he’ll be waiting long for someone to fall head over heels for him. Could that someone be you? ❀️ Come and meet this wonderful boyβ€”you might just find your new best friend. Scroll through the gallery of images above or click to open Not ready to adopt? About Sony

What life with Sony looks like

Sony is a large young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sony, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sony?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sony on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sony if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sony already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sony isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sony and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
