Sophie is a bright, affectionate young Labrador with a wonderfully friendly nature. She loves being around people and is quick to make friends, often nudging a hand when she would like the fuss to continue. She is a playful girl who loves her toys, especially her favourite ball, and enjoys carrying them around or having a game with her canine friends. Sophie is house trained and is reported to be relaxed when visitors come into the home. She is also a great traveller, happily hopping into the car and settling down for the journey. Out and about, Sophie enjoys exploring and has been used to spending much of her walks off lead. She is confident around other dogs and will often offer a play bow if another dog approaches, but is equally happy to carry on with what she was doing if they are not interested. With her affectionate personality, love of play and enthusiasm for being involved in family life, Sophie will suit a home where she can enjoy plenty of company, activity and attention. Sophie is looking for a home where she can spend plenty of time with her people, as she finds being left on her own difficult. Leaving time will need to be kept very minimal initially, with her new family prepared to work gradually on helping her feel more comfortable when alone. She can be strong on lead, but she is very motivated by both food and toys, which should make training together rewarding and fun. Sophie could potentially live with another suitable dog following successful introductions and currently lives happily alongside another dog. She is generally sociable with dogs she meets and enjoys a playful interaction, although her enthusiasm can sometimes make her play a little boisterous. Sophie could live with primary school aged children who are comfortable around an excitable young dog, and she cannot live with small furry pets due to her chase instinct.
