A male mixed-breed dog, approximately 10 kg, born on July 25, 2023, from Larissa, Greece (project 08/2026), is currently in a foster home near Bamberg, Bavaria. He is friendly with people, good with other dogs, confident, curious, enjoys cuddling, playful, and dislikes cats. SPIKE is a self-confident, curious, and fearless dog who loves his humans and is always by their side. He is very attached, loves to cuddle, and enjoys full attention, but can also entertain himself and find peace on his own. SPIKE loves walks, walks well on a leash, and is well-behaved around his humans. He is confident in both city and country environments and easily handles car rides. He is house-trained, can stay alone for long periods, and is compatible with other dogs and people. However, cats should not live in his new home. SPIKE is a clever dog and learns quickly. He observes his humans closely and recognizes inconsistency immediately. Therefore, he needs clear rules, structure, and consistent, fair leadership. Sometimes he overestimates himself and needs someone to set boundaries for him in a friendly but firm manner. This is a current assessment of SPIKE. How he will behave in the future, especially after moving to a new home, cannot be predicted. Like humans, every animal will change and develop. But with the right and loving leadership, SPIKE will definitely become a loyal companion. SPIKE is microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for endoparasites and ectoparasites, neutered, and tested negative for the so-called Mediterranean diseases. SPIKE is a great and loyal companion for active people. We are looking for a home for him without young children, ideally as a single dog or with a very confident "first dog."

Er ist sehr anhänglich, kuschelt für sein Leben gern und genießt die volle Aufmerksamkeit, kann sich aber ebenso gut selbst beschäftigen und findet auch von allein zur Ruhe. Spaziergänge liebt SPIKE, dabei läuft er schon recht gut an der Leine und orientiert sich schön an seinen Menschen. Ob Stadt oder Land, SPIKE ist souverän unterwegs und auch Autofahren meistert er problemlos. Er ist stubenrein, kann längere Zeit allein bleiben und ist verträglich mit anderen Hunden und mag Menschen. Katzen sollten allerdings nicht in seinem neuen Zuhause leben. SPIKE ist ein cleveres Kerlchen und lernt sehr schnell. Er beobachtet seine Menschen ganz genau und erkennt Inkonsequenz sofort. Deshalb braucht er klare Regeln, Struktur und eine konsequente und faire Führung. Manchmal überschätzt er sich ein wenig und braucht dann jemanden, der ihm freundlich, aber bestimmt Grenzen setzt. Das ist eine momentane und aktuelle Einschätzung zu SPIKE. Wie er sich in der Zukunft, vor allem nach dem Umzug in ein neues Zuhause zeigen wird, können wir nicht voraussagen. Jedes Tier, wie auch wir Menschen, wird sich verändern und weiterentwickeln. Aber mit der richtigen und liebevollen Führung wird SPIKE bestimmt zu einem treuen Wegbegleiter. SPIKE ist gechippt, komplett geimpft, gegen Endo- und Ektoparasiten behandelt, kastriert und auf die sogenannten Mittelmeerkrankheiten negativ getestet. SPIKE ist ein toller und treuer Begleiter für aktive Menschen. Wir wünschen uns für ihn ein Zuhause ohne kleine Kinder, idealerweise als Einzelhund oder bei einem sehr souveränen „Ersthund“.
