Srečko got its name for a reason. For a long time, he was alone with his illness. When we found him, he had severe jaw injuries, extensive swelling, and numerous complications, all of which had developed because he did not receive timely assistance. His condition was critical and the chances of recovery seemed slim. But Srečko did not give up. With the help of veterinary care, surgery, and a lot of love, he began to eat on his own, recover, and every day proved that he wanted to live. Due to the injuries, he remains without a jaw, but this does not hinder him from enjoying life, food, and the company of people. Today, Srečko is a friendly, gentle, and grateful cat who has left behind a difficult past. He still has one final step on the path to full recovery, after which he can start looking for what he has deserved all along – a safe and loving home. His story is a testament to the fact that sometimes resilience, timely help, and faith in the value of trying can make all the difference. Due to his constant needs for adopting new stray cats, we can also greatly benefit from temporary fostering. Temporary care is a form of voluntary work where you offer accommodation for any of our cats that have been waiting for a new home for a longer period. The temporary caregiver will provide a safe environment, space, time, and affection, while we cover all expenses related to the cat, including all veterinary costs.

Srečko je svoje ime dobil z razlogom. Dolgo časa je bil sam s svojo bolečino. Ko smo ga našli, je imel hudo poškodbo čeljusti, obsežno vnetje in številne zaplete, ki so nastali, ker pomoči ni prejel pravočasno. Njegovo stanje je bilo kritično in možnosti za okrevanje negotove. A Srečko se ni predal. S pomočjo veterinarske oskrbe, operacije in veliko nege je začel jesti sam, okreval in vsak dan znova dokazoval, da si želi živeti. Zaradi poškodb je ostal brez dela čeljusti, vendar ga to ne ovira pri tem, da uživa v življenju, hrani in družbi ljudi. Danes je Srečko prijazen, nežen in hvaležen maček, ki za seboj pušča težko preteklost. Pred njim je še zadnji korak na poti do popolnega okrevanja, nato pa si bo lahko začel iskati tisto, kar si je ves čas zaslužil – varen in ljubeč dom. Njegova zgodba je dokaz, da včasih res odločajo vztrajnost, pravočasna pomoč in vera, da je vredno poskusiti.
