About Stan

Stan Stanley is a stunning 35kg soon to be 7 year old fella who is being rehomed through no fault of his own. Sadly his owner has died and after his passing Stanley has had to move into a new home. In this home he has more boundaries than in his previous home and he becomes aggressive when trying to remove him from rooms in the house. He has just become a bit too much for his new owner to handle. But he is so lovely and affectionate that they feel that he could still be a loving companion to someone else who has the time and outdoor space to give him what he loves and is used to. Stanley does suffer from seizures roughly once every 3/4 months, but he is not on any medication for this and it does not affect his quality of life or that of his owners. The family have been to the vets about this and they advised that as long as he only has up to 6 seizures a year then he will be okay and doesn’t need any medication. He loves affection and sitting on peoples laps, he likes playing fetch with a tennis ball and also loves going for walks. He has recently been trained to walk very well off lead and he has a good recall. Stan is fine around children of all ages and has lived with a 5 year old who he has grown up with and she is now 12. Stan is great with other dogs out on walks and is currently happily living with a 3 year old springer spaniel. He does have the potential to chase cats so his owners think that it would be safer not to rehome him with cats. He hasn’t met any livestock so careful introductions would be needed.
