Adopt STARCK

Belgian Malinois · Male · Adult · 7 years

Abandoned: 17/02/2026 Race: Malinois Shepherd Sex: Male Microchip: 967000010064319 Born: 19/09/2018 Country: Belgium At the shelter since: 17/02/2026 STARCK – A big heart in a big body Starck is a magnificent Malinois Shepherd male, impressive by his stature… but even more by his kindness and exemplary obedience. He is a dog with an excellent character, sociable and always ready to please. He listens particularly well to women, but is obedient with everyone when spoken to with gentleness and confidence. His behavior & qualities Very obedient, responsive to commands Sociable with humans and dogs Clean and accustomed to a stable lifestyle Tolerates solitude well, provided he has access to the garden Travels in the car without a problem Very good character, affectionate and willing Starck is however a powerful dog: he can be rough in his movements, without ever being mean. He does not pull on the leash… except when he sees a bicycle, which he does not like at all. With cats, unfortunately, it is not possible: he tries to catch them. His ideal environment Starck has always lived with a large garden, where he likes to spend time, sometimes alone. Apartment life is therefore not suitable for him. He can live with children, but not the very young, simply because he is large, powerful, and clumsy in his enthusiasm. The family he awaits Starck would be perfect for: A family with a house and a fenced garden People available, loving, and ready to offer him affection and stability A home without cats Adopters capable of appreciating a sensitive, intelligent, athletic, and deeply loyal dog If you are looking for an attached, balanced, and tender companion, Starck could well be the one to make your heart beat. For more information, please contact us ONLY by phone at 02 523 44 16. Note: this animal can be reactive.

About STARCK

What life with STARCK looks like

STARCK is a adult belgian malinois dog waiting at Help Animals in Brussels.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting STARCK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about STARCK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw STARCK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt STARCK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is STARCK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if STARCK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know STARCK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
