Stefan came to the animal shelter thin and dirty. The first weeks he spent in the hospital, where he was treated for a cough. Today he is already healthy, regaining the missing kilograms and gladly taking advantage of what the animal shelter has to offer him, even though it can't give him much. Although no one took care of him before, Stefan likes people. He enjoys every contact with a human, willingly lets himself be petted, loves walks and grabs every minute spent outside the crate by the side of his human companions. Even though he has been with us since January, he has already won the hearts of many volunteers. Stefan has many friends among them - everyone wants to go for a walk with him. Walks with Stefan are reserved like visits to the best five-star restaurant, volunteers want to book them even two weeks in advance. No one wants to miss the opportunity to meet him. It's an exceptional dog personality that infects with a smile and a positive attitude towards life even the grumpiest people. And Stefan? Unaware of all the commotion, he spends most of the day in the crate. For 23 hours a day he waits: will he get to go out again? Will the caregiver come with an extra warm meal that will warm him up in the cold? Shelter life, even for the most spoiled dog, is endless waiting. We have great hopes that Stefan, despite being a big dog, won't stay with us for long. Stefan trafił do schroniska chudy i zabiedzony. Pierwsze tygodnie spędził w szpitalu, gdzie leczono u niego kaszel. Dziś jest już zdrowy, odzyskuje brakujące kilogramy i z radością korzysta z tego, co schronisko ma mu do zaoferowania, mimo że nie może mu dać wiele. Mimo że wcześniej nikt o niego nie dbał, Stefan lubi ludzi. Cieszy się z każdego kontaktu z człowiekiem, chętnie daje się głaskać, uwielbia spacery i chwyta każdą minutę spędzoną poza boksem u boku swoich ludzkich towarzyszy. Choć jest z nami dopiero od stycznia, zdążył już zdobyć serca wielu wolontariuszy. Stefan ma wśród nich mnóstwo znajomych– każdy chce iść z nim na spacer. Spacery ze Stefanem są rezerwowane niczym wizyty w najlepszej pięciogwiazdkowej restauracji, wolontairusze chcą je rezerwować nawet dwa tygodnie do przodu. Nikt nie chce przegapić okazji do spotkania z nim. To wyjątkowa psia osobowość, która zaraża uśmiechem i pozytywnym nastawieniem do życia nawet największe marudy. A Stefan? Nieświadomy całego zamieszania, większość dnia spędza w boksie. Przez 23 godziny na dobę czeka: czy uda się jeszcze wyjść? Czy zajrzy opiekun z dodatkowym ciepłym posiłkiem, który ogrzeje go w mrozy? Schroniskowe życie, nawet dla najbardziej rozchwytywanego psa, jest nieustannym czekaniem. Mamy ogromną nadzieję, że Stefan, mimo że jest sporym psem, nie zabawi z nami długo.
