Stivi (Стиви)

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Stevie is 6 years old. Medium height, a strong look, but with eyes full of a story. He was caught by the public utility company Lajka after a report of a bite. Like many street dogs, he reacted out of fear, not malice. At the shelter, Stevie showed that behind that defensive stance lies a sensitive, intelligent, and patient heart. With care, time, and love, he has learned to trust again. Today, Stevie is socialized, calm, and ready for his forever home. Why not give him a chance? 👉 Stevie deserves someone who will look at him with love, not prejudice. 👉 With a true owner, he will be a loyal, grateful, and calm companion. 👉 He is proof that dogs, just like people, can change when someone believes in them. If you believe in second chances, Stevie is waiting for you.

MK·Show original

About Stivi (Стиви)

What life with Stivi (Стиви) looks like

Stivi (Стиви) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje in Skopje.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇲🇰Adopting from North Macedonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stivi (Стиви), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stivi (Стиви)?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stivi (Стиви) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stivi (Стиви) if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Stivi (Стиви) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stivi (Стиви) isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lajka - Dog Shelter Skopje early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stivi (Стиви) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (MK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
