adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Stizzi has found a home! Stizzi can travel to his foster home in early March! His story: Onesti, Romania. Attention, here come Stizzi, Rosalie & Tabea! Rasselbande on the lookout for their next adventure. The three sweet kitten siblings were found alone next to a busy road by our helper Alexandra in mid-September. Probably like many before them, they were simply left to die. Thankfully, she was able to take in the kittens, now they are ready and want to find their home finally. Stizzi, the tiger-white tomcat with his funny mask on his face, is a real looker. He is super open, age-appropriately playful and curious. At the same time, he exudes such a calmness. He gets along wonderfully with his fellow animals and has already met dogs in his foster home. Due to his social skills, he should be placed with one or more existing cats. If there are no other furred paws in the new home, he would gladly bring someone from his current residence as reinforcement. Our Stizzi has adapted well to life in an apartment, but after a certain period of adjustment and in a very rural and safe environment, he can get used to being let out. In an apartment, he is sure to be happy with a cat-safe balcony from which he can observe the birds in the summer months. For his travel arrangements, the wonderful tomcat is of course already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has been tested negative for FIV and FeLV. An EU pet passport is already packed and ready for him. Who will give our Stizzi a safe home to finally arrive at? Thank you Alissia G., you gave Stizzi his awesome name and thus enabled the start of a new life for him! As of: 25.01. This cat needs outdoor access. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

About Stizzi

What life with Stizzi looks like

Stizzi is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stizzi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stizzi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stizzi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stizzi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stizzi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stizzi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stizzi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
