Podenco Coqui had to spend a long time languishing in the Perrera ReusrJA in Linares before we finally had the opportunity to bring him out. Coqui is a large, proud Podenco who shows absolutely no fear or shyness around people. He’s a cool, calm dog who gets along well with other dogs as well. However, it’s clear that during his extended stay at the Perrera ResurJA, he probably had to fight for his food—a lingering effect of which is that he can become quite food-possessive. Thanks to his unwavering zest for life and remarkable perseverance, he emerged from this ordeal without serious injuries. Coqui is a dog with a strong character and an absolutely wonderful temperament; even his appearance and presence are truly impressive. It’s such a pity that a significant part of his life was stolen from him. We’re looking for calm, responsible people with dog experience—ideally already owning another dog—as is always the case with Podencos, a securely fenced garden is essential, and we expect the new owners to keep the dog on a harness and leash at all times. We won’t place Coqui in a big city; rather, we’d love to see him in a quiet, rural home without small children. Podenco Coqui musste lange Zeit in der Perrera ReusrJA in Linares schmoren, bevor wir die Möglichkeit hatten, ihn dort herauszuholen. Coqui ist ein großer, stolzer Podenco, der keinerlei Berührungsängste oder Scheu vor uns Menschen zeigt. Er ist ein cooler, ruhiger Hund, gut verträglich auch mit anderen Hunden, allerdings zeigt sich, dass er über eine längere Zeit in der Perrera ResurJA vermutlich um sein Futter kämpfen musste, was sich immer noch auswirkt, indem er futterneidisch ist. Durch seinen ungebrochenen Lebenswillen und sein Durchhaltevermögen, ist er ohne größere Blessuren davon gekommen. Coqui ist ein charakterfester, echt toller Podenco, schon seine Erscheinung und Ausstrahlung sind beeindruckend, sehr schade, dass ihm ein Teil seines Lebens gestohlen wurde. Wir wünschen uns gelassene, verantwortungsvolle Menschen mit Hundeerfahrung, gerne auch mit einem vorhandenen Ersthund, wie immer beim Podenco, zwingend ein gut gesicherter Garten und dem vorhandenen Willen, den Hund am Sicherheitsgeschirr und an der Leine zu führen. Wir vermitteln Coqui nicht in eine Großstadt, gerne ländlich, in einen ruhigen Haushalt ohne kleine Kinder.
