Studenka

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Was taken in: 02.09.2021. A train driver asked our foundation for help because a small, injured dog was lying on the open track near Külsővat. We rushed to save him, walking about 1 km on the railway tracks with a transport box. Little Studenka almost went into shock from the noise of the trains passing above him. According to the initial veterinary examination, he had received a heavy blow to the head, fortunately, only a fracture was visible at the eye socket. His right hip bone was broken off and he had bruises all over his body. Studenka still moves very little and is afraid of human contact. Unfortunately, this post-traumatic stress has been going on for years, his rehabilitation is ongoing, but he seems a bit more relaxed when another dog is around. We are looking for a patient owner who can help him forget all the bad things he experienced in his life so far and show him that life is beautiful and that he is also a beloved companion to humans. We seek only a home for him where he can be a full-fledged family member. We hope that his angel will come, the one who has been waiting for him, who will give him everything he perhaps did not receive as a dog, a proper, secure home and love. Vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, available for adoption. Attention, the dog is located at the NOÉ Animal Shelter's branch in Szergény. Additional pictures HERE!

Szergénybe bekerült: 2021.09.02.Egy mozdonyvezető kérte alapítványunk segítségét, hogy Külsővat környékén a nyílt pályán egy kist testű, sérült kutya fekszik. Rohantunk a megmentésére, kb. 1 km-t gyalogoltunk szállító ládával felszerelve a vasúti síneken.Kicsi Studenka szinte sokkos állapotban vészelte át a felette áthaladó vonatok robaját. Figyelem a kutya a NOÉ Állatotthon szergényi telephelyén található. Érdeklődni róla a e-mail cimen lehet.További képek ITT! A Tetszik gomb eléréséhez sütik engedélyezése szükséges. apiKey: 'f94a516b15dff4516ffa78eb8ba036f3076dfc68',

About Studenka

What life with Studenka looks like

Studenka is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Post-traumatic stress from train accident, limited mobility, fear of human touch, ongoing rehabilitation needed

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Studenka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Studenka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Studenka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Studenka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Studenka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Studenka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Studenka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
