adoption requirements adoption process Inquire about this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Inquire about this dog now! Right now, Subwoofer lives in a four-dog "boys' shared apartment" consisting of him and his brothers Lonny, Fito, and Cheewy. Their mom gave birth to them in the yard of an elderly lady, but due to her age, she wasn’t able to care for them. The mother was neutered to prevent future pregnancies. Subwoofer is a little beauty. With his shiny dark coat and attractive lighter markings on his chest and legs, he’s a real eye-catcher. True to his age, he’s playful and active. Additionally, Subwoofer is open, friendly, and curious. He will likely grow into a medium-sized dog. We believe Subwoofer is a Terrier mix, probably with some German Shepherd in him. His appearance and behavior suggest a lively, attentive, and eager-to-learn combination. Terriers are often known for their curiosity and playfulness, while German Shepherds are famed for their intelligence and strong bonding ability. Accordingly, this puppy could develop into an active companion who needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Consistent, loving training will be essential to help him reach his full potential. Subwoofer is still at the very beginning of his young life and has a lot left to learn. And if he could do that together with his future family, it would be the greatest gift. Anyone considering welcoming a puppy into their home should be fully aware of the responsibility involved beforehand. Puppies still need to learn about the world and its rules. Therefore, attending positively oriented dog training classes could be a wonderful addition down the road. If you’d like Subwoofer to become part of your family soon, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. A spot in a foster home would also be a valuable opportunity for this charming fellow. After a positive adoption process, he naturally comes with his EU pet passport. Thank you, Caro B., for this unusual name. Thanks to you, Subwoofer can look forward to a happy dog’s life. As of: 05.05. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 05.05.2026

About Subwoofer

What life with Subwoofer looks like

Subwoofer is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Subwoofer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Subwoofer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Subwoofer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Subwoofer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Subwoofer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Subwoofer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Subwoofer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
