Adopt Szczypiorek

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 6 months

Szczypiorek is two years old and has had some adventures. His owner, who adopted him at six months old, gave him back due to changes in life priorities, giving us a sad story. Szczypiorek was not a cat adopted from us. The beginning was not easy, he hid behind the sofa and didn't really understand why he ended up in a place full of cats. He is a social cat, likes to play, eat well. He doesn't cope well with the number of cats he is forced to be with, so he gets a bit tense and stressed. He can be a single cat, even though he came to the foundation with his brother Porky. Adopting them together would be magic, but there is no such necessity. It's a beautiful long-legged cat. He doesn't have any tricks in his head related to tearing curtains or other strange cat mischiefs. A full bowl and hands to pet are all he dreams of. Important information - Neutered - Dewormed - Vaccinated - Tested for FIV/FeLV - Negative result - Doesn't require special care - Lives on Warsaw's Wola - Adoption only Warsaw and surroundings! We don't give cats to homes that are leaving. ! We require balcony protection and at least one window.

Historia Szczypiorek ma dwa lata, a za sobą trochę przygód. Jego Pan, który przygarnął go w wieku 6 miesięcy oddał go z tytułu zmiany życiowych priorytetów wciskając nam żałosną bajkę. ! Wymagamy zabezpieczenia balkonu oraz przynajmniej jednego okna.

About Szczypiorek

What life with Szczypiorek looks like

Szczypiorek is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa in Warszawa.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szczypiorek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szczypiorek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szczypiorek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szczypiorek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Szczypiorek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szczypiorek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Psy Ulicy Warszawa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szczypiorek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
