Szogunka i Żbik

Unknown

They are each other's biggest support, they work together like two perfectly matched parts of a mechanism, they fit together as if poured. ZBİK and SZOGUNKA arrived at the animal shelter separately, but they fell in love in the shelter, got close, and are now inseparable. We are asking on behalf of the two dogs - help us find a home for them. Zbik is the leader for Szogunka. He has a few fleas, and is a medium-sized animal. At first, he was shy, but the sight of a leash and the prospect of a walk dispelled all his uncertainty. From the beginning of his stay at the animal shelter, he showed a desire to befriend the girls. The girl Szogunka (coarse-haired, medium-sized) arrived a month earlier. It seemed like a hopeless case. Totally wild, scared, untouchable. Stuck in the corner of the kennel, she did not want to have contact with anyone. The kennels of Zbik and Szogunka were separated only by a fence, and it was very easy to notice that the little dogs had a mutual attraction. They were joined and it was a perfect match. Szogunka opened up, became more trusting and braver. The boy gained the company he so desperately wanted. Zbik infected Szogunka with a love for walks, forest adventures, long strolls. The dogs became inseparable. They are gentle animals in full health. They can play, enjoy seeing familiar people. They are waiting for adoption. If you would like to meet them, we invite you.

PL·Show original

Żbik zaraził Szogunke miłością do spacerów, leśnych przygód, dłuuuuugich przechadzek.

About Szogunka i Żbik

What life with Szogunka i Żbik looks like

Szogunka i Żbik is a adult dog waiting at Przytulisko U Wandy in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szogunka i Żbik, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szogunka i Żbik?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Przytulisko U Wandy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szogunka i Żbik on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szogunka i Żbik if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Przytulisko U Wandy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Szogunka i Żbik already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szogunka i Żbik isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Przytulisko U Wandy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szogunka i Żbik and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
