Szöki

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Szöki is a tiny little dog, just 5 months old, and he urgently wants to move in with a family. This tireless pup simply adores being given attention. He craves affection so much that he hardly lets his caretakers leave his side. When they clean his enclosure, he complains the whole time, because how could anyone imagine not petting and cuddling him? He really wants all the attention to be on him! But behind the funny little barking is a very affection-starved, lonely puppy who desperately needs someone to finally take him home. We don't want Szöki to spend his puppyhood in the shelter. Right now he needs to experience what a real family is like: the warmth of a home, shared play, learning, lots and lots of petting, and having someone always there by his side. We are looking for a family where he won't be left alone for long periods and where someone can spend time with him during the day. Szöki will give back an abundance of energy, attention, and love. A tireless little lost soul who is just waiting for someone to finally say: "Come on, Szöki, you're coming home with me now!" To inquire about him, use the address "szegé". A Tetszik gomb eléréséhez sütik engedélyezése szükséges. apiKey: 'f94a516b15dff4516ffa78eb8ba036f3076dfc68',

About Szöki

What life with Szöki looks like

Szöki is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szöki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szöki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szöki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szöki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Szöki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szöki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szöki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
