Szpulka

Female · Kitten · 2 months

Szpulka is still a kitten, and her body is very delicate and particularly vulnerable to bacteria and viruses. For this reason, she should leave the shelter as soon as possible. We’re looking for caring and responsible guardians for her. Given her very young age, it would be best if she went to a home with another young kitten or to a home where an adult cat already lives. This way, she’ll have the opportunity to learn feline communication and develop properly. The little kitty loves to play and observe her surroundings. She’s still slightly frightened, but she’s making progress every day. Adopting such tiny kittens requires dedication and knowledge; therefore, if you don’t have much experience with young cats, we encourage you to read our post-adoption cat guide, which contains essential information on raising a kitten. Thanks to it, your guardian will be better prepared to welcome the little one into your home. Guide: We invite you to fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire and bring it with you when you visit the shelter. Please note: When deciding to adopt a cat or considering adoption, be sure to bring a carrier or transport bag for cats to the shelter. Before adopting, make sure your home or apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Remember to secure windows and balconies.

Pamiętaj, żeby zabezpieczyć okna i balkon.

About Szpulka

What life with Szpulka looks like

Szpulka is a small puppy/kitten cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szpulka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szpulka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szpulka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szpulka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Szpulka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szpulka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szpulka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
