Tabitha

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 9 years

Hello there, I'm Tabitha - a beautiful affectionate lady with the most stunning eyes. I may be 9 years old but there's plenty of life in me yet! I love playing with a cat nip mouse, a tiny ball, or wrestling with my favourite scratching pad. I have the loudest purr so you'll definitely know when I'm happy - usually when I'm greeting you at the front door after a busy day of window watching and snoozing. In fact, I love to keep you company wherever you go - bathroom doors are overrated and so is personal space. I love to talk to you, especially about all the things the neighbours have been getting up to. After all, I can't have you missing out on the excitement! I'm happy to be brushed and pampered, though I'm not such a fan of a claw trim. Although I might be a bit shy while I'm getting to know you, once I do I'm very affectionate and love to 'make biscuits' on your lap and will even suck your clothes like a kitten if I'm allowed to. Once this happens, there's no backing out - you're my best friend and you must give me snuggles and Dreamies on demand. I'm looking for a home after my last owner never came back for me after going on holiday. I guess the all inclusive buffet must have been something really special. As for me, I hope someone out there will think I'm special enough to come back to. I really am a very loving lady who would just like a lap to keep warm and enjoy the rest of my days sharing my company, purrs and cuddles with. If you think we could be a match, please get in touch with Catitude and I'll get my suitcase and my biscuit dough ready! ❤️❤️ Hello there, I'm Tabitha - a beautiful affectionate lady with the most stunning eyes. About Tabitha

What life with Tabitha looks like

Tabitha is a very small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Catitude Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tabitha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tabitha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Catitude Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tabitha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tabitha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Catitude Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tabitha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tabitha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Catitude Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tabitha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
