Tagada

Chinchilla · Female · Adult · 4 years

Type/Race: Chinchilla Age: Born on 06/09/2022 History: Adorable chinchilla who has experienced a major change in her life: she and other animals of the same species were taken in by the pound following the owner's death. Personality: Friendly with humans, Tagada is however more shy than Saaya. She needs time to observe and feel confident before interacting with humans. A gentle and patient approach is essential to avoid scaring her. She likes to explore her cage and enjoy quiet moments, although she can also display beautiful displays of agility when she feels safe. Just like Saaya, if the cohabitation with other animals of the same species goes very well, the same can be said about her relationships with dogs, cats, and even rabbits in the same household. Indeed, Tagada has no trace of aggression and knows how to adapt to her environment and the living beings that are there. That said, integration must be done gently to avoid stressing her. However, as with any chinchilla, the presence of birds and reptiles should be avoided, as they are a source of stress. Also, chinchillas are social animals. Therefore, since there are currently three of them, they will not be separable (unless it is just one for the first adoption, and only to join another fellow animal of the same species). Adoption fee: 80 euros for a chinchilla (they are currently living in a group of three. Adopting one is possible if the adopter already has a chinchilla and there are still the other two available for adoption). About Tagada

What life with Tagada looks like

Tagada is a adult chinchilla animal waiting at Action 4 Pets in France.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Tagada far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tagada, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tagada?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Action 4 Pets handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tagada on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tagada if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Action 4 Pets will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tagada already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tagada isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Action 4 Pets early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tagada and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
