TANELI (ehem. TITAN)

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Taneli has found his home! His story: 86529 Schrobenhausen. The little, sweet Taneli was allowed to travel to his foster home and is already looking forward to your visit! Taneli, who used to be named Titan, is simply adorable and full of energy. He is curious, open, and it feels like he wants to make up for everything he missed in his life so far. In the pictures, the little Taneli often looks very big 🙂 But he is exactly the opposite. At just proud 45cm tall, the little guy is rather slender. The young boy grew up in Romania in a private shelter and had to wait a long time for his travel arrangements. Black dogs have it hard finding families, and so Taneli spent his childhood in the yard. This of course leaves its mark, and Taneli never had a secure anchor where he could feel safe and comfortable. Taneli is about 45cm tall and about 2 years old, he is neutered and therefore cannot travel to Switzerland. He is very eager to be very close to humans and wants to climb onto your lap, but at the same time, he is still very insecure and needs initial support and security from loving, confident people to grow into his new life. In the stray nest, he has already settled in well and currently shares a yard with Bobo. Taneli also goes on walks well now and lets himself be fitted with a harness without any problems. The little guy loves cuddle sessions. We are looking for quiet, loving, and experienced people for Taneli who live in rural areas and have a fenced garden. Without small children, as that would still be too restless and unsettling for him. A confident only dog would certainly be helpful, who gives him security and on which he can orient himself. With fellow animals, he shows a very friendly side. We suspect that Taneli could be a Pinscher mix. He is an active, young dog who will surely also enjoy mental and physical stimulation, such as dog sports like agility or mantrailing. Taneli is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas and has his own EU pet passport. Who will give this little guy his heart and a loving home? Many thanks, Barbara P.! You have given TANELI (ehem. TITAN) his name!

Vielen Dank Barbara P.! Du hast Taneli (ehem. Titan) seinen Namen geschenkt!

About TANELI (ehem. TITAN)

What life with TANELI (ehem. TITAN) looks like

TANELI (ehem. TITAN) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting TANELI (ehem. TITAN), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TANELI (ehem. TITAN)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TANELI (ehem. TITAN) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TANELI (ehem. TITAN) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TANELI (ehem. TITAN) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TANELI (ehem. TITAN) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know TANELI (ehem. TITAN) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
