Adopt Tara (hat Interessenten)

Cane Corso · Unknown · Puppy · 8 months

Our Bollerkopf Tara came to us in August this year and brings a sad story with her. According to the shelter she was rehomed to before, she was already abandoned and left alone by her previous owners at a young age, not just once but twice… She was even left tied up and alone. According to her previous owners, she spent almost 8 months living almost exclusively in the bathroom with one of her owners, which explains her impulsive reactions in crowded situations. When she came to us, she was given as a found dog, allegedly found tied up by people who later turned out to be her last owners. We hope we are all in agreement that at two years old, it’s finally time for the beautiful part of life to begin for Tara!? Do you see it too and are interested in the big, beautiful female dog? Cool, then let me tell you a little more in advance… …We wish for Tara people with patience and energy, because she can already fly out of the crate quite well on her own, so she definitely needs a quiet partner, a real partner, a rock in the storm when it starts to get rough with her. Aaaber Tara is the biggest cuddle mouse with her trusted people; she would like to crawl into her favorite people and she doesn’t have too few of them. To gain trust, Tara needs a little time, and one should be aware of that, as well as the fact that she brings a lot of work with her, but one must not forget what one gets in return, because just as intensely as she can throw a tantrum, she shows her affection just as intensely. What Tara does not need is a hard hand! She shows in some situations that she has already had experience with this, and it does not contribute at all to gaining her trust, which is much more important than anything else with her. When Tara trusts, she lets herself be led, cooperates, and is overjoyed by a simple verbal praise or physical closeness. So, if you haven’t fallen in love yet, you are to blame! We hope you can imagine getting to know our little big Italian girl and giving her a chance to meet new people she can trust!. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

About Tara (hat Interessenten)

What life with Tara (hat Interessenten) looks like

Tara (hat Interessenten) is a extra-large puppy/kitten cane corso dog waiting at Tierheim Solingen in Solingen.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tara (hat Interessenten), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tara (hat Interessenten)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Solingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tara (hat Interessenten) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tara (hat Interessenten) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Solingen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tara (hat Interessenten) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tara (hat Interessenten) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Solingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tara (hat Interessenten) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
