How do I contact the shelter about Tashi?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Wesendahl handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tashi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Tashi if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Wesendahl will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Tashi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Tashi isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Wesendahl early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tashi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Tashi

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 12 years

Tashi, a 12-year-old friendly and affectionate Cocker Spaniel, is seeking a loving home for her golden years. Unfortunately, she was abandoned and had to enter the shelter, but she deserves a peaceful and loving home where she can enjoy her twilight years. Tashi is a very friendly and attached senior dog. She would love to be close to her humans, following them everywhere. She loves company and would like to spend all day by her owner's side. Although Tashi is blind and slightly hard of hearing, she is still very fit and lively. She also gets along well with other dogs and is apparently accustomed to living in an apartment. We are looking for a quiet and loving home for Tashi where she doesn't have to do much but be loved. We could also imagine her with older people who enjoy a loyal, cuddly companion and give her a lot of attention. Tashi is vaccinated and microchipped and is now waiting to find people who will let her stay - perhaps even for the most beautiful and secure part of her life still ahead. 🐶❤️ Who will give our little senior dog her heart and a loving home?

DE·Show original
