Name: Tasos. Breed: mixed breed. Gender: Male. Date of birth: 01/2022. Color: Black with cream. Country of birth: Greece. Size: Large (approx. 54 cm). Fate has not been kind to our Tasos: He was tied up with a rope near a riverbed and left to die. But he wasn’t having it—he drew attention to himself by howling and barking loudly. Kind people heard him and freed him. That’s how Tasos was rescued. Unfortunately, the next blow of fate wasn’t long in coming: He is blind in one eye and can only see shadows out of the other. This is probably due to blows to the head. Even though he has had anything but an easy life, Tasos is a friendly, lovable, and affectionate guy. He currently lives with our animal rescuer in the house and garden, gets along well with his fellow animals, and wants to please his human. He copes very well with his handicap and, once he knows his way around, walks just like a sighted dog. Our Tasos already walks well on the leash and is house-trained. He doesn’t need pity—he needs a wonderful forever home where he receives all the love and attention he has missed out on in his life so far.

Farbe: Schwarz mit CremeGeburtsland: GriechenlandGröße: Groß (ca. 54cm) Das Schicksal hat es mit unserem Tasos nicht gut gemeint: Er wurde mit einem Seil in der Nähe von einem Flussbett angebunden und zum Sterben zurückgelassen. Das ließ er sich aber nicht gefallen und machte durch lautes Heulen und Bellen auf sich aufmerksam. Liebe Menschen hörten ihn und haben ihn befreit. So konnte Tasos gerettet werden. Der nächste Schicksalschlag ließ aber leider nicht lange auf sich warten: Er ist auf einem Auge blind und auf dem anderen kann er nur Schatten sehen. Das kommt vermutlich durch Schläge auf den Kopf. Obwohl er es alles andere als einfach hatte, ist Tasos ein freundlicher, liebenswerter und anhänglicher Kerl. Zur Zeit lebt er bei unserer Tierschützerin im Haus und Garten, verträgt sich gut mit seinen Artgenossen und möchte seinem Menschen gefallen. Er kommt sehr gut mit seinem Handicap zurecht und läuft wie ein sehender Hund wenn er sich auskennt. Unser Tasos geht bereits gut an der Leine und ist stubenrein. Er braucht kein Mitleid, sondern ein tolles Für-immer-Zuhause, in dem er all die Liebe und Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, die er in seinem Leben bisher nicht hatte.
