Tato – In Foster – Midlands

English Bulldog · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Tato's Story Tato was brought into a loving home as a puppy, where he was cherished by his family. Sadly, when a new baby arrived, they made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him with someone they believed they could trust. Heartbreakingly, that trust was betrayed. Tato’s original family began receiving desperate calls asking them to take him back, with horrifying threats that he would either be abandoned to fend for himself on the streets or, even worse, put into a bag with bricks and thrown into a river. Let that sink in for a moment. A beautiful, innocent dog whose only fault was trusting the humans around him was facing unimaginable cruelty through absolutely no fault of his own. We often think we have heard the worst of what can happen to vulnerable dogs, and then another story comes along that leaves us wondering how anyone could be capable of such cruelty. Tato’s original family simply could not bear the thought of anything happening to him. Although they knew they could not care for him long-term, they opened their home to him once again and put his safety and wellbeing first. For that, we are incredibly grateful. When we were contacted and asked if we could help Tato and bring him into our care, there was never really a decision to make. How could we say no? We don't know what Tato has experienced during his short two years, and if we are honest, we dread to think. We can only imagine the confusion and uncertainty he may have been through, all through no fault of his own. But one thing we do know is that his story does not have to end in heartbreak. From this moment forward, Tato will know love, kindness, comfort, safety and stability. He deserves nothing less than the compassion and care every dog should receive. No more uncertainty. No more fear. No more being let down by the people he depends on. Just love. Just safety. Just the chance to be happy. Welcome to the Geordie Bullies family, Tato. Your past may contain chapters we wish you had never had to experience, but we promise to do everything we can to make the chapters ahead so much brighter. We cannot wait to watch you blossom, discover your cheeky little personality and see all the mischief you get up to during your time in foster care. Welcome beautiful boy. Frequently asked

Adopting Tato – In Foster – Midlands, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tato – In Foster – Midlands?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tato – In Foster – Midlands on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tato – In Foster – Midlands if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tato – In Foster – Midlands already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tato – In Foster – Midlands isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tato – In Foster – Midlands and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
