TCHITCHI

European Shorthair · Male · Young · 2 years

Tchitchi, a gentle adventurer in search of his forever home. Tchitchi is a beautiful European cat with a big heart, a true concentration of sweetness and affection. Very affectionate and particularly kind to humans, he loves sharing moments of tenderness and will quickly find his place with those who offer him love and attention. This charming cat is clean and uses his litter box perfectly. He also tolerates moments of loneliness, making him a balanced companion for a family or people with a professional activity. Tchitchi enjoys the company of his feline companions. During a one-week stay with a foster family, he got along very well with the cats in the house. However, he does not want to share his daily life with dogs. Our beautiful Tchitchi has an explorer's temperament: he is very prone to escaping and takes advantage of the slightest open door to go on an adventure. For this reason, a secure garden or a suitable outdoor environment is essential for his well-being. Life in an apartment will not suit him. He can live with respectful children, but we will prioritize a home without very young children. Travelling by car is not his favorite activity and he tends to express his discontent by crying during transport. Fortunately, once he arrives at his destination, his affectionate nature quickly takes over! The ideal home for Tchitchi A house with a garden, essential for his balance. Attentive adopters who are vigilant about door openings. Respectful children old enough to understand his needs. Eventually, one or more cats already present in the household. No dogs. Tchitchi is waiting for a family ready to offer him stability, security, and all the love he deserves. In return, he will shower you with cuddles and moments of complicity. Do you think you can offer Tchitchi the ideal home? Don't hesitate to contact us ONLY BY PHONE AT 02/523.44.16 to get more information and come to meet him. He can't wait to melt your heart!

About TCHITCHI

What life with TCHITCHI looks like

TCHITCHI is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Help Animals in Brussels.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting TCHITCHI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TCHITCHI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Help Animals handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TCHITCHI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TCHITCHI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Help Animals will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TCHITCHI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TCHITCHI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Help Animals early rather than rehoming privately; they know TCHITCHI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
