Adopt Teddy

Male · Young · 3 years

Hi my name is Teddy and I am 3 years old . I came from Macedonia to Wales in 2021 when I was just a puppy. I suppose I’m a kind of mixed breed but I have Labrador retriever in me as you can tell by my exceedingly good looks . I currently live with another dog but unfortunately I don’t like to share so we don’t get on too well. I think I’d like to have a family all to myself with no other pets to share my attention. My favourite things are my toys and I love to chase my ball. Sometimes I like to sit on the window sill and watch people go by, I’m incredibly nosey apparently. I do love people; nothing better than snuggling in and getting loads of cuddles. I like little people too but I can be enthusiastic so probably older kids would suit me better so I don’t knock them down when I get excited. I love my food too much I’m told. So not too many treats to help me maintain my fine figure. I did have very high anxiety before, so I’m not neutered yet as recommended at the time, but personally I’m quite happy about that. So now you know all the good things about me, there are a couple of less favourables too that you will need to help me work on. I’m a bit scared of the outside world, so would probably be better suited in a rural area, where there are not so many distractions. Also, when I’m on a lead I can be reactive to other dogs I meet. I think it’s a mix of being scared and being tethered so I can’t defend myself and feel trapped, many rescue dogs suffer with this, but I know with the right training and understanding I can overcome my fear; as I said I’m a very clever boy. So in short I need someone who will help me with my small issues, no other pets please, no kids or older kids only. And of course I would like good food, toys, a ball and loads of snuggles Not too much too ask is it. Hope to hear from my new family very very soon . Teddy xx Microchipped and fully vaccinated.

About Teddy

What life with Teddy looks like

Teddy is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Strays Without Borders in Skopje.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇲🇰Adopting from North Macedonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Teddy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Teddy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Strays Without Borders handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Teddy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Teddy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Strays Without Borders will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Teddy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Teddy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Strays Without Borders early rather than rehoming privately; they know Teddy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
