Adopt TEDI

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 12 years

TEDI is looking for a loving home! ☺ TEDI is a large dog of the Caucasian type, about 12 years old. He is selective in his interactions with people and needs time, calmness, and several meetings to trust new people. He is not a dog that immediately opens up to strangers - he gradually builds relationships. However, once he knows and accepts someone, he becomes a pleasant and loyal companion. He likes quiet walks. TEDI could live in a home with a gentle female dog. We are looking for a home for him without children. The description is based on observations of the dog in the animal shelter. TEDI is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Registration number in the animal shelter: 299/24 The male is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, and neutered.

Tedi szuka kochającego domu! ☺ Tedi to duży pies w typie kaukaza w wieku. ok. 12 lat. Lubi spokojne spacery. Kontakt w sprawie adopcji: 📞58 531 96 56 📧

About TEDI

What life with TEDI looks like

TEDI is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting TEDI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TEDI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TEDI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TEDI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TEDI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TEDI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know TEDI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
