Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Temperamentvoller Lars is looking for his Heart People! Lars lived for two years with a family in East Frisia, but had to be given up when their circumstances changed due to work. For a long time, he has been waiting in a dog shelter for his new people. Lars is a curious, interested young male dog who has already learned a lot. As he is also very nervous and fearful, he shows mistrust towards new people at first, is reserved, and needs time to get to know them. When people approach him directly, he cannot properly assess them and might bite out of insecurity. Here, empathy and clear behavior as well as clear leadership are needed. With his current reference people, Lars is very cuddly and obedient. He gets along with other dogs, although male dogs can be problematic. Lars wishes for patient, empathetic dog-experienced people who are not a problem with visiting him multiple times to build trust. An ideal match for Lars would be a single person or a sporty couple. If a family is interested in Lars, it would be sensible if the children are older and ideally also have dog experience. It would be dreamlike if Lars could move in with people who have an enclosed yard. He is very active and needs both physical and mental stimulation. Not really child-friendly (nervous/shy). Gets along with other cats.

About Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars

What life with Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars looks like

Frequently asked

Adopting Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Notfall – Temperamentvoller Lars and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
