It was even worse when they had to leave their family in Romania all of a sudden. They were given to our animal shelters. It turned out that the two tested positive for FeLV – that was also the reason why their family had to suddenly kick them out… For us and our animal welfare workers, that doesn’t mean that Asa and Terje don’t deserve a life! On the contrary: they have the same right to live and deserve a nice life. Our handsome tomcats are very, very people-oriented, clingy, and also have no fear of strangers. Everyone is warmly welcomed, everyone is embraced with open hearts – the same we wish for Terje and Asa. Since they are very attached to each other and have been a well-coordinated team since their birth, we do not want to separate them and are looking for a shared home for them. This benefits them not only but also their new people: because they will be showered with love twice 🙂 Asa and Terje tested positive for FeLV and although they get along well with other cats, it would be too risky to place them with FeLV-negative cats, as FeLV can also be transmitted through saliva. A secure balcony is not possible due to their condition, so a safe indoor home would be their dream. This cat needs outdoor access.

Terje und Asa lieben Menschen und die Zeit mit ihnen. Umso schlimmer war es, als sie ihre Familie in Rumänien schlagartig verlassen mussten. Sie wurden unseren Tierschützern übergeben. Es stellte sich heraus, dass die beiden positiv auf FeLV getestet wurden – das war auch der Grund, wieso ihre Familie sie von jetzt auf gleich rausgeworfen haben… Für uns und unsere Tierschützer heißt das aber nicht, dass Asa und Terje kein Leben verdient haben! Im Gegenteil: sie haben das gleiche Recht zu leben und haben sich ein schönes Leben verdient. Unsere hübschen Kater sind sehr, sehr menschenbezogen, anhänglich und haben auch vor Fremden keine Angst. Jeder wird herzlich begrüßt, jeder wird ins Herz geschlossen – das gleiche wünschen wir uns auch für Terje und Asa. Da sie sehr aneinander hängen und seit ihrer Geburt ein eingespieltes Team sind, möchten wir sie nicht trennen und suchen ihnen ein gemeinsames Zuhause. Das kommt nicht nur ihnen zugute, sondern auch ihren neuen Menschen: denn die werden gleich doppelt mit Liebe überschüttet 🙂 Asa und Terje wurden positiv auf FeLV getestet und obwohl sie sich gut mit anderen Katzen verstehen, ist es zu riskant sie zu negativ getesteten Katzen zu vermitteln, da FeLV auch über Speichel übertragen werden kann. Freigang ist wegen der Erkrankung für sie nicht möglich, darum wäre ein gesicherter Balkon ein Traum. Dies ist aber keine Voraussetzung für eine
