The male dog comes from the "poor-conditions" Königsmoos property, where 134 dogs were kept on a plot of land and largely left to fend for themselves. Terry came to our animal shelter together with two other males. The dogs never had their own bowl, their own bed, and they don't know collars or leashes. Contact with people was minimal, simply too little to properly socialize the dogs. With Terry, you need a lot of time and patience; it will take a while before he can really open up to people. This male only knows life together with many other dogs in a pack and doesn't know how to be alone. The word "housetrained" is a foreign concept for the black Labrador mix. Although he now keeps his "indoor run" relatively clean and does his business in the outdoor run. Terry is very skeptical; on good days he dares to come a bit closer and will snatch a treat right out of your hand. On bad days he keeps his distance. Anyone who chooses one of these dogs needs a great deal of time and patience. These males should either move in with their new family as a pair or join a confident first dog. Der Rüde stammt aus der ’schlechten Haltung Königsmoos‘, 134 Hunde wurden dort auf einem Grundstück gehalten und ziemlich sich selbst überlassen. Terry kam zusammen mit zwei anderen Rüden zu uns ins Tierheim. Die Hunde hatten nie einen eigenen Napf, nie ein eigenes Körbchen und Halsband und Leine kennen sie nicht. Der Kontakt zu Menschen war minimal, einfach zu wenig, um die Hunde richtig zu sozialisieren. Mit Terry muss man viel Zeit und Geduld haben, es wird dauern, bis er sich auf Menschen so richtig einlassen kann. Der Rüde kennt nur das Leben zusammen mit vielen anderen Hunden im Rudel, alleine sein kennt er nicht. Das Wort ’stubenrein‘ ist ein Fremdwort für den schwarzen Labrador-Mix. Obwohl er mittlerweile seinen ‚Innenzwinger‘ relativ sauber hält und sein Geschäft im Außenzwinger erledigt. Terry ist sehr skeptisch, an guten Tagen traut er sich schon mal näher und klaut sich das Lekkerli aus der Hand. An schlechten Tagen bleibt er auf Abstand. Wer sich für einen dieser Hunde entscheidet, braucht sehr viel Zeit und Geduld. Die Rüden sollten entweder zu zweit zu ihrer neuen Familie ziehen oder zu einem souveränen Ersthund dazu. -männlich, nicht kastriert – 8 Jahre alt – Labrador Mix
